Grace Agenda Leading to Eternity

2 Mins read

Ecclesiastes 3:11 – He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from the beginning to the end.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

Mommy, why do people die? Mommy, where do people go after death? Mommy, why did God allow us to die? Those were overwhelming and difficult questions that the little boy asked her mommy with his innocence and honesty. He was yearning and eager to get satisfactory answers from her mommy. The same happens to us believers we keep on pestering God with questions after the death of a loved one. Death is a door to eternity. It’s just a preparation for the next life that’s eternity. If you have a daily intimate relationship with God through Jesus, you don’t need to fear death.

You have an inborn that longs for immortality. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s own image. When life and death offer many choices, eternity offers only two heaven or hell.

When you live in light of eternity you value changes, you’ll use your time, goals, abilities, opportunities, gifts, calling, talents, resources, and wealth wisely and for God’s glory because when death knocks you won’t carry anything.

Death is not your termination but your transition into eternity. The most damaging aspect of contemporary living is short-term time. To make the most of your life you must be visionary of eternity. we have a promise of it and assurance of eternal life.

Eternity is all the rest you don’t see underneath the surface. We have clear glimpses of eternity in God’s living word. In eternity we will enjoy unbroken fellowship with God. God will offer us unlimited and endless joy and forever we shall reign with Him.

PONDER ON THIS – Will eternity end? Did you know that God and eternity are real? Who can have eternal life? Where can you find eternity? What do you think of eternity?

SCRIPTURES

Titus 1:2 – In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.

John 10:28 – And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

PRAYERS

Everlasting Father, we thank You for your living and powerful Word that has reminded us about eternity. O sovereign Lord, prepare me to live each day in light of eternity. O sovereign God, I ask you by the blood of Jesus, preserve my life to make it into eternity.  I asked the Lord to impress upon me the reality of eternity. Don’t let us lose perspective on our eternal destination.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
