Live a Purposeful Life for Eternity

2 Mins read

Proverbs 19:21 – Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

Knowing your purpose gives meaning to your life. Without God, life has no purpose. Without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope. Knowing your purpose simplifies your life. Your purpose becomes the standard you use to evaluate which activities are essential and which aren’t. Without a clear purpose, you have no foundation on which you based your decision, allocate your time and use your resources. Knowing your purpose focuses your life. It concentrates your effort and energy on what’s important. You become effective by being selective. Without a clear purpose, you will keep on changing directions, changing jobs, changing relationships, changing relationships, changing churches, changing courses, and changing businesses hoping each change will settle the confusion or fill the emptiness in your heart. There is nothing quite as potent as a focused life, and one lived on purpose. Knowing your purpose motivates your life. Purpose always produces passion. You’re not put on earth to be remembered; you are placed here to prepare for eternity. Knowing your purpose prepares you for eternity.  What ultimately matters most will not be what others say about your life but what God says. Recall this, achievements are eventually surpassed, records are broken, reputation is faded, and tributes are forgotten. Living to create an earthly legacy is a short-sighted goal. A wiser use of time is to build an eternal legacy.

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Romans 8:28 – And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Ponder on thisHave you discover God’s plan and purpose for you? Do you believe God has a specific purpose for your life? Are you align with God’s purpose for your life?

PRAYER:

Thank and praise God for having a purpose for your life. Glorify God for He is the Lord of purpose. Dear God, help me discover my purpose. Dear God, align my life to your purpose. Let your Holy Spirit open my ears to hear your purpose for my life, in the name of Jesus. Let your Holy Spirit open my eyes to see your purpose for my life, in the name of Jesus. Let your power usher me into my divine destiny, in the name of Jesus. I destroy every power working against my purpose, in the name of Jesus. O Lord, I thank You for answering my prayers.
